Ahnu Kick Shoe : Perfect for Travel

One of the toughest things about traveling is deciding which shoes to pack.

I always pack too many and then they end up being heavy and taking up too much space in my suitcase. I fight this battle constantly and always wish I had just one pair of cute versatile shoes for long trips that I could wear for multiple functions and with different clothing choices. Well, the battle may be over ... I just found what I predict will be my favorite travel shoe!

Ahnu Footwear has a darling new Mary Jane casual shoe out now that is the multi-functional shoe I've needed in order to finally be able to leave the others at home. The Kick is stylish, well-made, and works nicely with slacks, shorts, and sundresses. Best of all, whether visiting old historical churches with dress codes, walking along beautiful paths through some of our national parks, strolling through town, or even going out to dinner at a nicer restaurant, these shoes fit the bill.

The shoe is super lightweight (9 oz.), open, and breathable for those warm days and comes with a moisture-wicking liner. I love its cushioned comfort and the all-important foot and heel support it offers for those long days of walking through museums and spending many hours on my feet. Another nice feature--the traction lugs crisscrossing the sole to help prevent slippage on slick surfaces. Although the manufacturer doesn't claim this, I suspect this shoe can also be amphibious so I intend to even bring it along on my next kayak trip!   

These shoes come in four different colors - black, dark slate, smoky brown and garnet red (what I have) and sizes range from 6.0-11.0 in both full and half sizes.

Bottom Line: This stylish and yet multi-functional shoe is the perfect travel companion. It's nice looking, goes well with many different styles of clothing, can be worn for a variety of different situations, and best of all, it allows the traveler to leave all of those extra shoes at home!--C.E.W.
