Asics Performance 2-N-1 Shorts : Lightweight Comfort and Performance
My Asics Performance 2-N-1 Shorts are my first pick for the gym. They come down to just a few inches shy of my knees, a style more fitting for working out. But don't let me suggest that this lightweight short isn't ideal for running. The shell is made of an extremely light and comfortable poly blend that I can't even feel when in motion. Too often longer shorts get caught up between my thighs when running. The more I sweat, the more I have to adjust my shorts. Not so when I wear my Asics shorts. The liner is one of the 2-N-1's best features. Typically, running short liners are nothing more than loose-fitting, flimsy, and entirely unsupportive underwear that make you wonder why they're included at all. The liner for the 2-N-1 is a substantial half-tight that provides a level of support I've really come to appreciate. I wish other running apparel companies would copy this type of tight-fitting, supportive, and comfortable liner. What's In a Name? The jury's out on why the Asics Performance 2-N-1 Short is billed as "two in one" Maybe because it's a short and half-tight in one. Or maybe because it's a good running short that has the length to make it ideal for other activities. I like the 2-N-1 for the gym, but with its length and two front pockets it has a look that would be suitable for lunch at a café or other casual social venue. Bottom LIne: Comfortable and versatile. A great choice for runners who spend some time in the gym. --D.C. (Aug '06) Price: $40 Manufacturer's Site: www.asicsameria.com
