Athleta Shakti Wool Pants : The Look, The Feel...of Wool

I'm sort of a lounge-yoga-fitness-pant whore. Can't help it; I'm a sucker for comfy, loose (but not baggy) pants I can wear for almost any activity or occasion.

I'm especially fond of pants with a wide waistband, low rise (but not thong low), and a long inseam. And if I can find all these features in a pant made out of my favorite performance fabric, merino wool, well, then, I'm sold.

Athleta's Shakti Wool pants are just the ticket. I get the comfort and ease of a cotton pant in soft, breathable, washable merino wool. Because wool wicks and resists odors, I can go longer in between washings (a handy benefit on a three-day yoga retreat).

These pants have kept me warm on my winter power walks, even on drizzly days, and comfortable during my daily yoga practices.

The Shakti pants are available in three inseam lengths; however, the pair I tested seemed to run very long. I normally order long length (34 inseam), but the regular length was plenty long for me.
