Bridgedale Hiking & Sports Socks : Cool Comfort

Usually I don't think that much about how socks actually feel on my feet, except that I don't want any bunching or binding that could cause blisters when I'm hiking or walking for exercise.

So I was surprised when I started wearing Bridgedale's Women's X-Hale Trail Diva and Multisport socks for regular hikes and power walks. Wow! These socks are actually really comfortable and meld to my feet perfectly.

Oh yea, I also don't want soggy socks caused by sweaty feet. Summer is here, and I want socks that are breathable and keep my feet dry as well as comfortable. Bridgedale's X-Hale line of "Fast & Light" socks for women are not only attractive, but are made of their WoolFusion® knit that combines merino wool and synthetic materials for the best of both fibers. Bridgedale is so confident about the enduring comfort and durability of socks made with WoolFusion that they even guarantee these socks for three years.

Since returning from trekking in the Himalayas earlier this spring, I've been working to maintain my hard-earned fitness by hitting the trails in the nearby mountains as often as possible.   I have heel and foot pain on occasion, so I really appreciate the extra protection I get from the Trail Diva's padding and breathability. The Multisport also features the same type of targeted impact padding. The Trail Diva has a slightly higher cuff, so they work well with low hiking boots or trail runners. The Multisport is a bit lighter and slimmer, ideally paired with trail runners or a straight walking shoe. (Men's and youth sizes also available.)

Bottom Line:   This Irish company sets out to design and manufacture the most comfortable socks on the market. With the X-Hale socks I've been wearing, I think they've succeeded.--J.I. (July 07)
