Cloudveil Highline Hoody : A Perfect Fit

I’ve found the top half of my fall workout uniform in Cloudveil’s Highline Hoody. Made out of a wicking performance fabric, this top is designed for real women (meaning, you don’t have to the body of a 15-year-old to wear it) who take their workouts seriously. (There’s also a hoodless men’s version called "Highline Top.")

The Highline Hoody top is cut long through the torso, which is great for my 5’ 11” frame (shorter woman will love having the option of tucking in this shirt), and actually has enough room to accommodate my large chest. I tested a size M, and it was a perfect fit, thanks in part to the raglan sleeve style. I don’t know why all companies don’t make raglan sleeve garments -- they just fit better and have a more flattering look.

The soft-as-cotton fabric does a great job of keeping me dry. On several power walks in the cold, misty Seattle air, I arrived home with a dry back and a dry shirt. Even with the light rain, the fabric felt the same as it does when it’s dry. I look forward to using the built in mitts when the weather gets colder (all I have to do is fold the sleeve cuff over my hands for a snug little mitt).

Cloudveil has thoughtfully added a small mesh pocket on the udnerside of the back panel, accessible via a discreet zipper. I use it for my keys, i.d., and a credit card when I’m working out and don’t want to carry a waist pack. I never even feel the items in there.

Bottom LIne: This is one of my favorite shirts. It fits well, it provides good wicking and temp management, and it’s available in three cool colors. A must have item for fall and winter. -- (E.D. Nov. ‘05)
