I like that I have a dressy skirt for occasions requiring modesty, but can convert it into a fun, sporty, short skirt when I want to power walk or hike. (Even when I need or want to wear the skirt at full length, the zip-off section has a slit in the back so I can still move with ease.)

I mostly wear this skirt unzipped -- around town and for my daily walks. The material has a built-in SPF factor of 30+ and does a good job of wicking away moisture. It's also quick-drying, so when I'm traveling I can wash it in the sink, and it's dry before morning. I also appreciate the wrinkle-resistant fabric -- I never iron anything, and I'm not going to start now!
