Dansko Della Sandals : A Step Up

Thanks to Dansko, I, too, can wear cute summer slip-on sandals with my little summer skirts!

As you may have read in previous reviews, I have some serious rules about shoes: they must be black, they must be comfortable, they must fit my EE wide feet, and I have to be able to run for my life in them (or at least dance all night in them.) Kind of limits my options. Also, I'm 5'11", so heels are out.

Dansko's Della Sandals have definitely stepped up to the job. They have the thick, supportive sole I love (with a built-in arch support, as well as a nice rubber tread for great traction on champagne-soaked dance floors), yet don't look or feel clunky.

Dansko does an amazing job of designing comfortable, attractive shoes and sandals that provide excellent stability for your feet. This is no flexible little slip-on, but a heavy-duty sandal with a shanked sole--perfect for dancing or for running for your life.

I like the simple, elegant style, and the soft foot-conforming leather upper. I get the support I need and the style I want. Available in six colors.

My only suggesion for improvement: I wish the black pair I tested had a black footbed rather than tan.

Bottom Line: The Della Sandals are the sweet spot between clunky and cool. The perfect fit for women with D and EE width feet.--E.D. (May 07)
