Mountain Hardwear Scuba Gloves : Perfect for Rainy Days
I live in Seattle where it never gets too cold in the winter...meaning it rarely drops below 40 degrees F. So when I go on hikes and power walks, I don't need super warm gloves. I need something lightweight that will protect my hands from constant drizzle and wind. Mountain Hardwear's Scuba Gloves are perfect for me. Made out of soft shell Windstopper material (with soft, wide fleece cuffs), they keep out wind and rain exceptionally well. They're also breathable, so I don't have to pull them off after ten minutes (then put them back on ten minutes later when my hands get cold again). It's nice to get the warmth and protection I need without wearing a bulky glove. It's like wearing little soft shell jackets on my hands. Available in black, sizes XS-XL. Try on before you buy; I think these gloves run a bit small. (For more information on Mountain Hardwear products, read our Mountain Hardwear Synchro Jacket review and our Mountain Hardwear Torch Jacket review.) Bottom Line: These gloves are perfect for cool weather, and can be used as liners when the temps drop.--E. D.
