Mountainsmith Deluxe Cube : A Terrific Tote
I'm completely unorganized, and I'm always running late. So I need all the help I can get when I need to get from A to B and I have things to carry. Mountainsmith's Deluxe Cube is ideal for so many of my daily errands and travel needs. At 15" x 15" and 7.5" wide, I can take a pass on grocery store bags and haul a week's worth of groceries. For a picnic or potluck dinner, I can pack two wine bottles, a six-pack of pop or beer, salad dressing, a salad, a main dish, a dessert, and my reuseable recycled plastic plates, cutlery, and cups. The Deluxe Cube is lightly padded and made out of tough rip-stop fabric in and out. Nice and sturdy, built to last. I love the zippered top because my goods stay put and if I have to walk home in the rain (something that happens a lot here in Seattle) my food stays dry. The top also has a clear vinyl window pocket, where I can stash a road map or grocery list. The pocket is also handy for long road trip -- I can label each cube in the trunk so I can find what I need quickly. The quilted exterior fabric is attractive, and the contrast black side pocket on the front of the bag is handy for quick stashables. I use the handles for carrying, but the cube also accommodates a shoulder strap. A few other uses for this fantastic tote: hauling beach gear, carrying running or workout gear, packing what you need for an overnight or weekend getaway. Colors: Cinnamon, Black, Lime, and Tonal Brown. Bottom Line: I'm not usually a tote person, but this is such a versatile bag (and so much easier to use in many situations than my standard day pack) that I make up errand and plan picnics just so I can use it.--E.D.
