If you're looking for a great gym bag that's not too big and will fit easily into a gym locker, I would highly recommend the Overland Montecito bag.
It's made of Ballistic nylon so it's tough and sturdy. I can see this bag lasting a long time, and the nylon fabric is easy to clean. The adjustable shoulder strap is very cushy, so it doesn't cause any discomfort when I carry the bag over my shoulder.
It has two well-separated zippered compartments. I use one side for my shoes and the other side for my workout gear. Or, I keep a stash of clean gear on one side and carry dirty clothes on the other side. There are three other compartments on the sides where I can store personal items and my shower stuff.
I like the versatiy of the Mentecito bag. It's ideal for the gym or yoga, or as a day bag when I'm out and about. It's also the perfect size for a carry-on bag.
