Smartwool Lightweight Long Sleeve Shirt : Soft, Thin, Sublime
A few years ago, I discovered the loveliness, as well as the superior functionality, of merino wool. Now I don't want to wear anything else. Smartwool's Lightweight Long Sleeve V-Neck shirt is the top half of my new cold weather uniform (the bottom half is a pair of fancy pants made by Ex Officio). This soft merino shirt looks fantastic with jeans (available in several colors; mine is black), and functions better than most of my technical tops when it comes to wicking. I like not having to change clothes after work, but just heading off on a power walk, ready to face the elements. My Smartwool top keeps me warm during the chilly first part of my walks/hikes, and wicks away sweat (still keeping me warm) during the last stages of my adventures. Cold or warm, I always finish with a dry top. A dry top that doesn't smell, so I can head off for tea with a friend without going home to change. What I like best about Smartwool's clothing is the long cut and generous sizing. Unlike so many companies that make tiny, short little shirts, Smartwool makes their shirts with sleeves that keep your arms covered - even if you reach your hands over your head. At 5'11" I rarely find shirts long enough, but this lightweight shirt is cut long enough to reach the waistband on my jeans. Thank you. Shorter women will be happy to have a bit of extra material to tuck in. Available in men's and women's sizes and in seven different colors. Bottom Line: Give the gift of merino this holiday season. Smartwool always makes wonderful accessories such as socks, hats, and more. Click here to read about more Smartwool products.--E.D. (Dec.
