Jo-Sha Wipes : Keep Your Yoga Mat Clean
It occurred to me at my last yoga retreat that I might benefit from cleaning my mat, but I didn't want to use a cleanser containing harsh chemicals...(more... )

Smartwool Microweight T : Spring into Wool

I'm sooo over working out in cotton; it feels good, but gets too wet and heavy. Technical tees do a much better job of breathing, and they're much lighter in weight.

Of course, merino wool is the original technical fabric; it breathes, it wicks, it dries fast, and it's also lightweight. Smartwool's Microweight T, for men and women, is the ideal top for warm weather hikes and workouts.

This shirt is one of my favorites because I can wear it alone at the gym or for warm weather hikes (I've hiked with a day pack in 80 degree weather in wool -- trust me, it's comfy and keeps me cool) or as a base layer under a fleece top for cool spring days.

I tested a men's shirt (pictured), which was a great fit for me since I'm 5' 11" and many women's tops are too short for me. I love the slim, long cut. I can actually tuck it in! The women's shirt is only slightly "shaped," so it hangs nicely without flaring at the bottom. It's also long enough for most women, and I like that it has regular short, rather than capped, sleeves.

(Available in men's and women's sizes and in several colors.)

Bottom Line: A staple piece for active men and women.--E. D. (April '07)
