SportHill InFuzion Top : Get in the Zone
Anticipating my holiday vacation in the North Georgia mountains, I got myself an early Christmas present: SportHill's InFuzion Top. Made of a wicking material consisting of 89 percent polyester and 11 percent Lycra, this thermal top (available in men's, women's, and women's plus sizes) is designed for frigid, windy days when the thermometer drops below 40 degrees. I was glad I packed my new SportHill pullover for my mountain vacation. It was the perfect top for a leisurely hike up a small mountain trail. What I especially liked about my SportHill top was how stretchy and soft the material was. Its trademark Swift fabric feels great next to my skin. And who doesn't want that when bundled up against the elements? I'm impressed by Sporthill's well-made, durable gear. They make it easy to select the right clothing for the weather with their Zone system. Zone 1 apparel is designed for warm to hot weather (over 65 degrees F) with lightweight, wicking tops and bottoms with UV protection. Zone 2 items are also moisture-wicking, breathable, and fast-drying, best for use in cold temps (32 degrees F to 65 degrees F). The half-zip mock turtleneck InFuzion top is part of the Zone 3 line, for the coldest days (0 degrees F to 40 degrees F). I think the InFuzion Top runs a bit snug. So if you're going to be battling some serious chill and want to wear it over a baselayer, you might want to go up a size. Also note that there is a two-tone variation of this top called the InFuzion Splice and another called style called the InFuzion Pocket Top that features invisible thumbholes and a rear pocket with reflective zipper. Bottom LIne: An ideal stand-alone top or as a layer for windy, cold weather that will keep you warm and cozy whether you're sightseeing or snowshoeing.--J.B.
