Thorlos Lite Walking Socks : Walk a Few Miles in These Socks
The first time I wore my Thorlos Lite walking socks was at Seattle's Solstice Parade and Fair, a massive civic event featuring an hour-long (at least) parade, a variety of food booths, live music, face painting, and vendor booths selling clothing, art, jewelry, and just about anything else you'd want to buy. This year's event happened to coincide with the hottest day of the summer (so far). I needed to have socks that would keep my feet dry no matter how high the temperature rose and comfortable for the many hours of standing and walking I'd be doing. Having worn Thorlos in the past, I knew these new "lite" socks would be perfect for my Solstice activities. As I expected, the Thorlos kept my feet dry and blister-free. These socks really do an excellent job of wicking away moisture. And the padded areas under my heels and forefeet stayed springy all day. I did a lot of walking that day, and my feet were well cared for. Bottom LIne: Thorlos makes comfortable, durable, totally functional socks. I have several pairs of their hiking socks that are still going strong after years of washing and wearing.--E.D.
