Timbuk2 Yoga Bag : Be Organized, Be Flexible
I have enough to worry about in my everyday life (that’s why I need yoga class in the first place, right?) ; figuring out how to get my stuff from one appointment to the next shouldn't have to be a burden. I need a bag that satisfies the organizer in me. Timbuk2's Yoga Bag has plenty of pockets to keep my stuff in order – an important quality when I need to find change for the bus as I'm chasing after it. I like to keep my wallet, cell phone and other personal items zipped up and hidden in one of the bags inner pockets. I keep snacks, a little notebook, and other odds and ends in one of a few inside pouches. My favorite pocket, though, is a long zipper compartment for my sweaty clothes. I often take this bag to the yoga studio, to the the gym, or to the pool, and then back to work. Sweaty clothes and my wet swimming suit are no problem because I can stash them in their own zippered pouch, so, my dry items stay dry. At seven and a half inches wide and 22 inches high, there's plenty of room for a pair of shoes, a rain jacket (essential in the Pacific Northwest, where I live), and extra clothes. I used this bag on a recent overnight trip to Seattle, and was able to squeeze in all I needed, including a pair of running shoes, my cell phone battery charger, and PJ’s, along with other essentials. The Timbuk2 Yoga Bag is made of the same rugged material as their bike messenger bags. The exterior is made of ballistic nylon with strong stitching that’s made to withstand rain and wear and tear. The Yoga Bag also comes with an external waterproof roll flap, suitable for toting your personal yoga mat to class. When headed elsewhere, it you can use the roll flap for transporting a rain jacket, long umbrella or other items (be creative!). Available in four colors, the bag’s bright flower pattern helps keep me in a cheerful state. Bottom Line: As our choices for athletic activities continue to broaden, companies like Timbuk2 continue to spoil us rotten. This is a great all-around gym bag – especially for yoga junkies.
