Tsbuo Naran Shoe : Sleek Urban Sneaks
If you're looking for a cute and stylish city shoe that's also comfortable, the Tsubo Naran urban sneaker is my current fav! I have a pair (in black/taupe, pictured), and they look great with jeans or yoga pants. I've been wearing them for both running errands and taking walks around the neighborhood. They're great for those days when I do both and don't want to bring extra shoes. The Naran is a slim shoe--no bulk here--with an outer sole that provides excellent traction. A useful feature when driving after walking around Seattle's wet sidewalks. The upper consists of suede heel and toe panels and a shiny mesh material which makes them look more fashionable than most urban sneakers. They dry quickly, and they're easy to clean. Naturally, the mesh makes them ideal for warm days. (However, I've been wearing them in the mild Seattle winter with socks, and my feet are warm enough.) Because the mesh is fairly stretchy, it's easy to slip my feet into my Naran shoes. The foot beds are very comfortable thanks to extra cushioning and shock absorption in the sole that protects by feet with every step. Available in mid grey/dark grey, putty/fatigue/light grey, and black/slate/almond, women's sizes 6 to 11. Tsubo makes a similarly styled shoe in men's sizes, the Glide. Bottom Line: A seriously stylish urban sneaker that's also quite comfortable. Once I put them on, I end up leaving them on all day.--N.S.
