Tsubo Wokolo Shoe : The Ultimate Urban Tennis Shoe
As much as I love athletic shoes, I really prefer black leather shoes for everyday wear. Everything looks better with stylish footwear. Tsubo's Wokolo shoe is the perfect shoe for me. With it's thick, stable Vibram sole, it gives me the arch support I want, the protection and padding I need between my feet and the ground, and the traction required for walking around wet Seattle on slippery sidewalks. The Wokolo also keeps the weather out and provides some scuff protection with thin rubber toe caps. The same material wraps around the heel. These shoes are so well-designed, with so many subtle style features, that I almost don't want to wear them because I can't bear thinking about a time when I'll need to replace them. The leather is thick and smooth, the low-profile eyelets are made out of nylon loops (rather than metal grommets or hooks that could dig into the top of my shoe when I tighten the laces) that are set into small, scalloped wells lined with a dot matrix mesh material. The Tsubo logo, a small red dot inside a black box, is discreetly displayed on the back of the heel. Like other Tsubo shoes I've worn and loved, the Wokolo shoe has a rounded toe box, a removable insole, and fits like a glove. In the past, I've had to wear orthopedic- or hippie-style shoes to get the width, support, and comfort I need to keep my feet pain-free. Now, I can walk down the streets of any major city, feeling confident and fashionable. Available in black, brown, and green. Bottom Line: A sweet change of pace from athletic shoes, clunky comfort shoes, and other boring footwear.--E.D. (Feb 08) Price : $112-144 Buy Online:
