Ultimate Direction Station Pack : Carry Your Lap Top in Style

My old computer pack was starting to get on my nerves -- the nerves in my shoulder, that is. It was so heavy that it was painful to wear. It also didn't have enough space for all of my "office away from office" gear.

Ultimate Direction's Station computer pack is just what I need. It's stylish, black, and even comes with a water bottle. I like using this pack as my carry-on when I travel and as a computer tote around town. I can wear it as a backpack (curved, padded straps and a sternum strap give me a custom fit), sling its wide, padded strap over my shoulder when I'm in a rush, or carry it by its rubber coated nylon handle.

I like that this pack has two large "main" compartments. The back compartment, which is padded on all sides, has a padded sleeve attached to the back wall of the pack. The sleeve is a few inches shorter than the pack, so when I put my pack on the floor, my computer doesn't clunk on the ground. There's also a zippered pouch in this compartment for cords. The other large comparment expands as I add files and books, and has two flat pockets for CDs.

On the front of the pack, there's a handy little organizer under a large protective flap, with two velcro sealed pockets for jump drives, my iPod accessories, and my digital camera. There's also a zippered pocket for pens, my passport, and tickets.

My favorite features are the large padded zipper pockets on the front and one side of the Station. Both pockets expand (the big pocket is almost 2" deep, the side pocket is 1" deep), so they're perfect for toting my containers full of extra cords, adapters, and other necessities. The large pocket also has three flat inner pockets for small items, and a padded pouch for my iPod that also contains a small zippered mesh pouch for my keys.

Bottom LIne: Okay, so I'm still carrying a heavy load, but it all fits easily into my bag. No trouble zipping up this one!--E.D. (Sept. '05)
