Westcomb Synchro Pant : Mountain Tough, Street Smart

When I'm out on the street I need clothes that look good, feel good, and allow me run for my life, if needed. If I can also wear them on the weekend for hiking, even better.

My new favorite pant: the Synchro, a technical outdoor pant styled for street wear by Westcomb. Available in men's and women's sizes/styles, these pants are designed for comfort and action.

Made out of stretchy, abrasion resistant, water resistant Schoeller fabric, with articuated knees, the Synchro pant is perfect for any outdoor activity. I have total freedom of movement, and I stay dry during long walks in the rain. The pant is coated with Schoeller's NanoSphere finish, so I finally have a pair of pants that doesn't have stains. (In fact, the day I got these pants, I spilled salsa all over my leg----then simply wiped it off. No stain!)

I love the low-cut rise, wide waistband (wiith a built-in nylon belt), and straight leg cut, which give the pant a nice athletic fit. Another bonus: the unique construction of this pant makes it seem as if it's made out of a single piece of fabric -- they hug and hang just right in all the right places. The pants have two flat zippered pockets, as well as a flat zippered cargo pocket on the left leg. Each pant leg opening is adjustable with a small toggle on the bottom hem. Best of all, the pants come in two different lengths, so tall gals like me can finally have pants that are long enough.

Available in black or tan.

Bottom LIne:   These are seriously high quality pants that can handle any terrain or occasion. If you only buy one pair of pants this winter, or if you're packing light on your next trip, pick the Synchro pant. Drive to Canada if you have to--they're worth it. --E. D. (Nov. '06)
