Columbia Titanium Revolution Full Zip and Voyager Roll-Up Pant : For Town and Country

A metal that's strong yet light, titanium isn't the sort of thing I've yearned to snuggle up with. But the silky, full-zip Revolution hoody and the supple, active-fit Voyager pant--two pieces in Columbia's Titanium clothing line--proved just how comfortable high-performance apparel can be.
Boasting an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) of 50, both pieces shield skin from the sun's harmful UV rays--which is great news, because they're destined to become my summertime favorites.
I found myself reaching for the Revolution hoody before spin class, when the light, extra layer kept my muscles warm despite the chilly spring air. I reached for it again after class, when the super-wicking fabric (a polyester blend) lifted away perspiration and provided the perfect cool-down.
The Revolution also proved the ideal outer layer for springtime hikes in fickle weather. The snuggly hood and front pockets warmed my ears and hands in brisk temperatures, but when the sun came out, the ultra-breathable panels on the back and sides kept me from overheating. The four-way stretch fabric allowed me unrestricted freedom of movement. It's sleek styling allowed the Revolution to transition seamlessly from trail to town; this hoody looks as natural at the coffee shop as it does on the mountain.
The Voyager pant (pictured top right) is just as adaptable as the Revolution jacket, making it a smart choice for light-packing travelers who want one rugged pant for both urban and outdoor adventures. The back pockets are fitted with button closures, a pickpocket-thwarting detail I appreciated in crowded urban environments. The hidden waistband closure gives the Voyager a dressy look that felt sufficiently stylish while visiting San Francisco wine bars.
I love the versatility of this pant. It has an adjustable cuff that lets me shorten the Voyager into 21-inch, Capri-length pants--just the thing for hiking seaside trails. The stretchy, moisture-wicking, breathable Voyager kept me comfortable during those high-output hours.
