Mountain Hardwear Tonga Organic Cotton Skirt : Fun in the Sun
Just in time for Spring, a sporty skirt with all the right eco creds and just enough twirl to make it interesting. My Mountain Hardwear Tonga skirt is just what I need to feel fun and flirty and still able to leap across small- or medium-sized boulders on the trail. I like the thick, contoured waistband and the free-flowing A-linish cut. It fits true to size, and sits low; I can wear a size medium at my hips rather than around my waist--much more comfortable. The organic cotton fabric is 10% Lycra, so the Tonga has plenty of stretch and it hangs nicely from my hips (unlike some 100% cotton skirts that can get clingy or bunchy). The Tonga skirt is the perfect length for keeping cool and looking hot while still maintaining a modest look. (In other words, short enough to look good, long enough for someone my age to feel comfortable in). It hits just above the knees (actually, for me, a bit higher; I'm tall). Available in XS-XL and in the following colors: blue, black, red, off-white. Bottom Line: MH has done a great job with this easy wear skirt. They've kept it simple, with just a few lines of contrast stitching winding diagonally across the front of the skirt like vines. Ideal for spring and summer with a t-shirt or blouse.--E.D.
