I have been wearing BUFF Multifunctional Headwear for years and years. I love how a simple neck gaiter can also be worn as a hat, as a headband, and as a face protector. So, even better for me that Buff makes this headwear in a variety of fabrics. My favorite, of course, is merino wool.
No More Fussy Scarves
I was always a failure with scarves; I just couldn’t tie them in a way that my neck would remain covered. Plus, I hated the loose scarf ends, which got caught on my bag strap or in seatbelts. And then, where do I put it if I get too hot; scarves don’t fit into jacket pockets.
The BUFF Lightweight Merino Wool Multifunctional Headwear is really a dream garment for me because I just pull it on, and my neck is covered in folds of merino. Simple. I stay warm, and I can move freely without worrying. It’s always in place. I can also pull it up over my face when it’s freezing outside.
From Neck Warmer to Beanie
I rarely take advantage of all the ways I can wear the BUFF Lightweight Merino Wool Multifunctional Headwear because I like keeping it around my neck, but there have been a few times when I forgot my hat and twisted the BUFF into a cap or folded it into an ear warmer. It’s a “must have” item for hiking, camping, and travel.
However I use it, I like the breathability, the natural odor resistance of wool, and the way it keeps me warm. Where I live we have very mild winters, with temps around 40 degrees F on most days, so the lightweight BUFF is all I need. I like the thin material, but I think people not used to wearing wool against their skin will have an adjustment period.
I’m looking forward to a polar vortex vacation in my future so I can test BUFF’s Heavyweight Merino Wool Neckwarmer!
