Slim and simple, Cotopaxi’s Luzon 18L Daypack is perfect for outdoor adventures that don’t require lots of gear.
Made out of repurposed ripstop nylon, the pack has a narrow bottom and a wider, drawstring top. It’s the perfect size pack for a trip to the beach, an evening at an outdoor concert, or an overseas flight. I just toss in my gear, cinch the drawstring closed, and go.
I like the Cotopaxi Luzon 18L Daypack’s thin but wide adjustable shoulder straps. With two layers of mesh fabric, the straps are designed for comfortable and ventilation. I much prefer this wide, flat style over padded straps. After all, I’m not carrying 40 pounds but some water, my flip-flops, and a swimsuit (or even better, a bottle of wine, some water, and a Cotopaxi Kusa Blanket). The bag is quite comfortable, with adjustable sternum and waist straps.
It’s quite a handy little pack, and I like the streamlined style since I wear it more often when traveling and for urban outings, where I like a cleaner style and where I don’t want lots of external pouches and pockets that might appeal to pickpockets. I can move through crowds with ease because the Cotopaxi Luzon 18L Daypack isn’t bulky. Thanks to the slim style, I can also easily pack this daypack into my main suitcase and use it at my destination. Yes!
Inside the pack, there’s a hydration sleeve and port, as well as a narrow tab to secure a water bladder inside the sleeve. Since I’m not a fan of drinking out of hydration bladders and rarely move so fast that I can’t take time to stop and retrieve a drink out of my pack, I use the sleeve for water bottles. It easily holds my 750 ml Cotopaxi Aqua Water Bottle and another stainless steel bottle of similar size.
There’s a flat, zippered pocket on the front of the pack where I stash my phone, wallet, and keys. And that’s all there is to it. The Cotopaxi Luzon 18L Pack is ideal for outings, for travel, and for urban use. It comes in 14 color combinations and in a special edition multi-colored style.
