At home or on the road, the GSI Outdoors Glacier Stainless Steel 1 Quart Tea Kettle has become an essential part of my routine. It’s compact enough to pack in my food bag, large enough to make the several cups of tea I need to function (and another cup to share), and it’s durable enough to last a long, long time.

The kettle and lid fit together perfectly. I can move the wire handle to the side or into a handle position for pouring. The GSI Outdoors Glacier Stainless Steel 1 Quart Tea Kettle is made out of 18-8, food-grade stainless steel. I like that it fits together well and feels sturdy and solid. The spout is perfect, I can pour boiling water into a cup or a thermos without spilling.

Because I’m a nitwit and always forget to cover my pan when I’m boiling water, I’ve been using the tea kettle at home more often because I can boil water faster in it than in a big pan.

Bottom Line: the ideal kettle for car camping, backpacking, picnics, and even home use.
